Happy 80th Birthday to Aunt Joan this Saturday! I wish we could all be there to celebrate with you and I hope you have a wonderful day. Best wishes, Aunt Joan. (Photo courtesy of Stephanie and Jonathan Gray's blog--actually, it was just totally swiped from there! Jenny's idea!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS.
MAKE IT A GOOD ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lOVE YOU.
Aunt Joan,
I didn't get to write much in the card I sent but I just wanted to let you know how many great childhood memories I have of you!
You had one of the "coolest" houses in Union City...couldn't wait to open that big barn toy box every time I came, play games, catch lightning bugs, visit you at the hair salon, eat one of your home cooked meals, and just have fun. You were one of those moms that let kids be kids and that is the best kind of mom to be. I hope you have a great 80th birthday! Love to you and your whole family!
Joan, my memories revolve as with Jenny on our holiday get togethers in Union City and my quality conversations with you on your visits back after your move to Kentucky. You and Basil welcomed me with open arms even when I imposed on you with 2 of my degenerate friends (Bruner and Metcalfe) for free loading weekend of skiing during my youth. I wish I could be with you on this joyous occasion to celebrate the fact you are 80 years young.
Jenny...love the pic. :)
