Here's to the Barn at Woodside Farm

The barn, standing 100 years, was in bad shape and ready to come down. Mom had it taken down a few weeks ago, along with the chicken house. We have some wonderful memories that will be with us always. It is a strange thing to pull into the driveway and be able to see back to the woods, but it is a nice view.

Wow! Where are all the cats going to live? I remember when we had to tear down our barn for basically the same reason and how devistated I was. It is just too expensive to keep them up I guess. One of the lessons in life I learned is that once the roof goes on a structure it is toast.

Jack: I'm not so concerned about where the cats will live. They will find the other shed -- or migrate to a neighbors barn. I am more concerned where Jim will store his fleet of vehicles.
What a beautiful old barn, Denise. Did anyone keep some of the pieces of wood to make keepsakes? Basil is good at that.
